Women & Mental Well Being

The Asian Women’s Network (TAWN), established in the 1990s, is dedicated to addressing issues affecting Asian women in West London, particularly in Southall and Hounslow. The organization has historically collaborated with local entities such as the Asian Women’s Refuge and The Asian Health Agency to establish vital support services. These include setting up a women’s refuge in Hounslow, launching a helpline for women experiencing domestic violence and mental health challenges, and operating a volunteer-run advice helpline.

Currently, TAWN is focused on initiatives aimed at raising awareness about Asian women’s mental health and well-being.

TAWN is currently producing an educational video film to create awareness of mental health related issues on Asian women and.

TAWN has also launched a volunteer-run 24 Hour Helpline to support Asian women facing domestic violence, mental health concerns, or those simply in need of a listening ear, advice, or support.
